First, the preparation work before weighing the calorimeter

Before carrying out the weighing work of a calorimeter, adequate preparation is the basis for ensuring accurate weighing. First, check whether the appearance of the calorimeter is in good condition, whether the connections of various components are stable, and especially pay attention to whether the weighing system is in normal condition. At the same time, the calorimeter needs to be calibrated, and the standard weights are used to check the weighing accuracy of the instrument. Once any deviations are found, calibration and adjustment are carried out in time according to the instructions to lay a solid foundation for subsequent accurate weighing.

Second, the correct weighing process of the sample

1. Select the appropriate weighing container: Select the weighing container according to the characteristics of the sample, such as weighing solid samples, preferably dry and clean crucibles; if it is a liquid sample, choose a matching weighing bottle to ensure that the container fits the sample and avoids reactions affecting the weighing result.



2. Accurately weigh the sample quality: turn on the power supply of the calorimeter. After the instrument is preheated and stable, place the empty container on the weighing plate and press the peel button to return to zero. Then, use a clean spoon or pipette tool to take an appropriate amount of sample, slowly add it to the container, and pay close attention to the display value until the required weighing quality is reached. During the operation, the action should be gentle to prevent the sample from spilling and affecting the weighing accuracy.

III. Finishing and maintenance after weighing

After the weighing is completed, clean up the weighing disc and surrounding residual samples in time, and wipe them with a soft dust-free cloth to keep the instrument clean. Store the weighing container properly to avoid contamination with impurities. In addition, regularly maintain the calorimeter, check the sensitivity of the weighing system, and do cleaning, lubrication and other work according to the requirements of the instrument maintenance manual to ensure that the calorimeter is always in good operating condition, and provide accurate support for subsequent weighing work.
