Examine environmental factors

The calorimeter has strict environmental requirements, and fluctuations in temperature and humidity may cause the curve to be unstable. Make sure that the instrument is placed in a space with stable temperature (15-30 ° C) and suitable humidity (40% - 70%), away from heat sources, water sources and strong electromagnetic interference equipment. If the environment is not up to standard, you can use air conditioners and dehumidifiers to control and create a stable operating environment for the instrument.

Check power and wiring

Unstable power supply is a common cause of unstable curves. Check whether the power socket is in good contact, loose or oxidized; check whether the power cord of the instrument is damaged or aging. At the same time, confirm whether the grounding of the instrument is reliable. Poor grounding is easy to introduce interference. If any problems are found, replace the socket and power cord in time to ensure that the grounding is stable and ensure the stability of power supply.

Review sample preparation

The quality of the sample directly affects the curve of the calorimeter. The sample needs to be uniform and dry, and the particle size meets the requirements of the instrument. If the sample is damp, agglomerated or uneven in particle size, it will lead to incomplete combustion and curve fluctuation. When preparing the sample, strictly follow the operating specifications, use appropriate tools to grind and screen to ensure the consistency of the sample, and reduce the risk of curve instability from the source.

Clean key components

Dust accumulation and contamination of key components inside the instrument can affect heat transfer and signal acquisition, resulting in unstable curves. Regularly clean combustion dishes, oxygen bombs, sensors and other components. Wipe with a soft and clean cloth to avoid scratches; for stubborn stains, special cleaners can be used. After cleaning, ensure that the components are dry and installed in place to restore the instrument to good operating condition.

Calibration instrument parameters

Instrument parameter deviation will cause the curve to deviate from the normal range. Periodically calibrate the calorimeter, including temperature, heat and other parameters. Use the standard material, follow the calibration process, compare the actual measured value with the standard value, and adjust the instrument parameters to an accurate state. After calibration, test again to observe whether the curve is stable to ensure that the instrument measurement is accurate.

Check instrument hardware

If none of the above methods can solve the problem, it may be that the instrument hardware is faulty. Check whether the stirring motor is running normally, whether there is any jam or abnormal noise; check whether the ignition device is working stably and whether the ignition energy is sufficient. For aging or damaged hardware parts, contact professional maintenance personnel to replace them in time to ensure reliable performance of the instrument hardware and smooth return of the curve.
