Basic preparation before calorimeter testing

Before testing the quality of the calorimeter, it is necessary to make basic preparations. Make sure that the calorimeter is placed in a stable, vibration-free environment with suitable temperature and humidity to avoid external factors interfering with the test results. At the same time, carefully check the appearance of the instrument to see if any parts are loose or damaged, and whether the power connection is normal. This is the premise to ensure the smooth development of the test.

Detection methods for key performance indicators

1. Temperature accuracy detection

Temperature is one of the core indicators of a calorimeter. A standard thermometer can be selected and placed in a constant temperature environment with the temperature sensor of the calorimeter to compare the readings of the two. If the temperature displayed by the calorimeter deviates from the standard thermometer beyond the allowable range, it indicates that there is a problem with the temperature accuracy and further calibration or maintenance is required.

2. Heat measurement accuracy detection

Measure the accuracy of heat measurement through reference materials. Select a reference material with known calorific value, put it into a calorimeter for measurement, and compare the measured value with the standard value. If the error is within the specified range, it indicates that the calorimeter's heat measurement accuracy is up to standard; conversely, check whether the internal components of the instrument, such as the ignition system and the mixing system, are working normally.

Daily operation and stability testing

1. Operation process normative testing

Operate strictly according to the instrument operation manual and observe the response of the instrument in each step of operation. For example, whether the ignition is smooth and the stirring is uniform. If there is an abnormality such as a card or an error during the operation, it means that the operation stability of the instrument is not good. Check the operating procedure settings and the internal circuit of the instrument.

2. Repeated testing

Perform multiple measurements on the same sample to calculate the repeatability of the measurement results. If the multiple measurement results fluctuate greatly and exceed the repeatability standard of the instrument, it indicates that the stability of the instrument is insufficient, which may be caused by the aging of the sensor or the wear of mechanical parts, and needs to be maintained in time.

Troubleshooting and result determination

If the calorimeter is found to be faulty during the inspection process, you can first check the instrument error code and check the common faults according to the instructions. For problems that cannot be solved by yourself, contact professional maintenance personnel in time. Comprehensive test results, if the temperature of the calorimeter is accurate, the heat measurement accuracy is high, the operation is stable and the repeatability is good, it means that the performance of the instrument is up to standard and the quality is reliable; otherwise, the instrument needs to be repaired or replaced.
