Preparation
Before using the calorimeter for tableting, it is necessary to prepare tools and materials. Prepare special tableting molds, clean samples, tableting machines and clean wipes. At the same time, ensure that the calorimeter and surrounding environment are clean to avoid impurities affecting the tableting effect and subsequent detection accuracy.

sample handling
The sample to be pressed is ground to a fine and uniform powder. The particle size should meet the detection requirements of the calorimeter. Generally, it is appropriate to grind until it can pass through a specific mesh screen. After grinding, collect the sample with a clean tool to avoid mixing other impurities. If the sample is hygroscopic, it needs to be processed quickly in a dry environment.
Mold installation
Install the tablet pressing die carefully on the tablet press. When installing, ensure that the mold position is stable and aligned to prevent the mold from shifting during the tablet pressing process. After installation, gently wipe the inner wall of the mold with a wiping cloth to remove residual powder or stains, ensure that the mold is clean, and lay a good foundation for subsequent tablet pressing.
sample loading
Use a special tool to evenly fill the processed sample powder into the mold cavity of the tableting mold. When filling, pay attention to control the amount of sample, not too much or too little, too much may cause overflow during tableting, and too little will cause insufficient thickness of the extruded tablet, which will affect the detection. After filling, gently shake the mold to distribute the sample powder evenly in the mold cavity.
press molding
Start the tablet press and slowly apply pressure to press according to the pressure requirements of the calorimeter. During the pressing process, keep the pressure stable and continue to press for a certain period of time to ensure that the sample powder is tightly pressed into a tablet that meets the requirements. After the pressing is completed, slowly relieve pressure to avoid cracking of the tablet due to sudden pressure changes.
release check
Carefully remove the tablet pressing die and remove the pressed tablet from the mold. When demoulding, the action should be gentle to prevent the tablet from being damaged. After taking out the tablet, check the appearance of the tablet. Qualified tablets should have a smooth surface, no cracks, and uniform thickness. If there is a failure, you need to follow the steps again until you get a qualified tablet to ensure the smooth testing of the calorimeter.
