Preparation
Before filling the calorimeter with water, it is necessary to make full preparations. Make sure that the calorimeter is turned off and powered off to avoid accidents during operation. At the same time, prepare water that meets the requirements. It is generally recommended to use distilled water or deionized water to prevent impurities in the water from affecting the measurement accuracy. In addition, prepare a clean water filling container and auxiliary water filling tools, such as funnels, to make the water filling process smoother.
Clear water injection location
The water injection port of the calorimeter is usually clearly marked, and the location of different models may be slightly different. It is usually found on the top or side of the instrument. After finding the water injection port, carefully check whether there is any debris around it. If necessary, clean it up to prevent the debris from entering the inside of the instrument with water and damaging the internal components.

Precise water injection operation
Slowly pour the prepared water into the water injection container and slowly inject it through the funnel at the water injection port. During the water injection process, always pay attention to the water level scale on the instrument, and the water injection amount needs to be strictly controlled, neither lower than the lowest scale nor higher than the highest scale. Too little water injection will affect the heat transfer effect; too much water injection may cause water overflow and damage the instrument circuit.
Check after water injection
After the water injection is completed, carefully check whether there is any leakage around the water injection port. If there is any leakage, the cause should be investigated in time. It may be that the water injection port is not tightly sealed, and the relevant parts need to be tightened or the sealing gasket needs to be replaced. At the same time, confirm again that the water level is within the normal scale range, laying the foundation for the accurate measurement of the subsequent calorimeter.
Mastering the correct water injection method of the calorimeter can not only ensure the stable operation of the instrument, but also ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, providing reliable support for experimental and testing work.
