Preparation
Before calibrating the 2011 calorimeter, it is necessary to be fully prepared. Prepare standard benzoic acid, whose calorific value is accurate and stable, and is a commonly used calibration substance. At the same time, ensure that the components of the calorimeter are connected normally, the power supply is stable, and the ambient temperature is controlled within a suitable range. Generally, it is required to be between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius to avoid temperature fluctuations affecting the calibration results.
Correction step
1. Weigh the reference material: Use an analytical balance to accurately weigh a certain mass (usually about 0.9-1.1g) of standard benzoic acid and record the exact mass value. The accuracy of this step is directly related to the accuracy of the correction, so be sure to operate with care.
2. Sampling and ignition: Put the weighed benzoic acid into the burning dish and connect the ignition wire. Put the burning dish into the oxygen bomb of the calorimeter and fill it with enough oxygen to ensure sufficient combustion. Then put the oxygen bomb into the main body of the calorimeter and start the ignition procedure according to the operation process of the instrument.
3. Measurement and recording: After the ignition is successful, the calorimeter will automatically measure and record the temperature change during the combustion process. After the measurement is completed, carefully record the relevant data displayed by the instrument, such as temperature rise.
Data processing and correction
According to the recorded data, combined with the known calorific value of standard benzoic acid, the actual heat capacity of the calorimeter is calculated by using the calculation formula of the calorimeter. Compare the calculated heat capacity with the standard heat capacity set by the instrument. If there is any deviation, adjust the corresponding parameters of the calorimeter according to the operation method of the instrument manual to complete the correction.

post-calibration verification
After the calibration is completed, use the standard benzoic acid again for verification experiments. Repeat the above steps of weighing, loading, measuring, etc. If the deviation between the measurement results and the standard value is within the allowable range, the correction is successful; if the deviation is large, the correction process needs to be re-checked to find problems and correct again.
Through the above simple and clear steps, the calibration of the 2011 calorimeter can be completed to ensure the accuracy of its measurement results and provide reliable data support for subsequent experiments.
