Preparation before use
Before using the coal calorimeter, it is necessary to ensure that the instrument is placed in a stable, dry and non-strong electromagnetic interference environment to avoid affecting the measurement accuracy due to environmental factors. At the same time, carefully check whether the various components of the instrument are in good condition, such as whether the oxygen bomb is well sealed and whether the electrodes are clean. In addition, prepare the coal sample to be tested and grind it to the specified particle size. Generally, it is required to pass through a 0.2mm screen to ensure the uniformity of the sample and lay the foundation for subsequent accurate measurement.
Sample loading and oxygen bomb assembly

Use special weighing paper to accurately weigh an appropriate amount of coal sample, usually about 1g. The specific weight should be determined according to the requirements of the instrument manual. Carefully load the weighed sample into the crucible of the oxygen bomb to avoid the sample spilling. Then, the oxygen bomb head and the main body of the oxygen bomb are assembled. During the installation process, ensure that the sealing ring is installed in place to prevent oxygen leakage. After installation, fill the oxygen bomb with a sufficient amount of oxygen. The general pressure needs to reach 2.8-3.0MPa, and the oxygenation time is controlled at about 30 seconds to ensure that the sample can be fully burned.
III. Instrument parameter setting and calibration
Turn on the power of the coal calorimeter, and after the instrument is stable, enter the parameter setting interface. According to the characteristics of the coal sample, set appropriate measurement parameters, such as ignition temperature, measurement time, etc. At the same time, in order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, the instrument needs to be calibrated. Standard benzoic acid with known calorific value can be used for calibration operation, and the calibration steps can be completed according to the instrument operation process to ensure that the instrument is in the best working condition.
IV. Sample testing and result reading
Put the assembled oxygen bomb carefully into the oxygen bomb seat of the calorimeter to ensure a good connection. Close the outer cover of the instrument and start the measurement program. The instrument will automatically ignite and burn the sample and monitor the temperature change in real time. After the measurement is completed, the instrument will automatically calculate the calorific value of the coal sample. At this time, the measurement results can be accurately read on the instrument display screen and recorded.
Post-test cleaning and maintenance
After the test is completed, take out the oxygen bomb in time. After it cools to room temperature, open the oxygen bomb, clean the residue after combustion, and clean the inside of the oxygen bomb. At the same time, wipe the outer surface of the calorimeter to keep the instrument clean and tidy. Regular maintenance of the instrument, such as checking the tightness of the oxygen bomb, replacing aging parts, etc., prolong the service life of the instrument and ensure that it always maintains good working performance.
