Step 1: Prepare for oxygenation

Before adding oxygen, be sure to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the calorimeter. Check whether the appearance of the instrument is damaged, and whether the connecting parts are stable, especially the pipelines and interfaces related to oxygenation, to ensure that there is no leakage or blockage. At the same time, prepare the oxygen cylinder that meets the requirements, check the pressure of the oxygen cylinder, and ensure that the pressure is within the normal range. Generally, the pressure of the oxygen cylinder should be above the specified value to avoid affecting the oxygenation effect due to insufficient pressure. In addition, prepare the matching pressure reducing valve, connecting hose and other tools to ensure that the tools are intact.

Step 2: Precisely connect the oxygenation device

Connect the pressure reducing valve of the oxygen cylinder to the oxygen interface of the calorimeter. When connecting, pay attention to the matching of the interface to ensure that the connection is tight and avoid air leakage. After the connection is completed, slowly open the oxygen cylinder valve to allow a small amount of oxygen to enter the pipeline and check whether there is air leakage at the connection. You can observe whether there are bubbles by applying soapy water. If there are bubbles, you need to reconnect and tighten the interface.

Step 3: Reasonably adjust the oxygenation parameters

According to the experimental requirements, reasonably adjust the oxygen addition parameters of the calorimeter. Different types of calorimeters have different oxygen addition parameters settings, generally including oxygen addition pressure, oxygen addition flow rate, etc. The oxygen addition pressure needs to be controlled within the range specified by the instrument. Too high or too low pressure will affect the experimental results. The oxygen addition flow rate should be adjusted according to the amount and properties of the experimental sample to ensure that oxygen can fully participate in the reaction. When adjusting the parameters, please refer to the instrument manual and operate in strict accordance with the operating specifications.

Step 4: Standardize the oxygenation operation

After confirming that the connection is correct and the parameter adjustment is completed, the oxygenation operation is officially started. Turn on the oxygenation switch of the calorimeter, slowly increase the oxygen flow, and observe the display data of the instrument to ensure the smooth progress of the oxygenation process. During the oxygenation process, pay close attention to the running status of the instrument. If there is abnormal sound or abnormal data display, the oxygenation should be stopped immediately to investigate the problem. After the oxygenation is completed, first turn off the oxygenation switch of the calorimeter, then close the oxygen cylinder valve, and finally close the pressure reducing valve.



Step 5: Do a good job of maintenance after oxygenation

After the oxygen addition, perform simple maintenance on the calorimeter. Clean up the dust and debris around the oxygen addition interface and keep the interface clean. Check whether the connecting hose is aging or damaged, and replace it in time if there is any problem. Regularly maintain the oxygen addition system of the calorimeter to ensure that the instrument is in good operating condition and provide reliable guarantee for follow-up experiments.
