The core standard of calorimeter replenishment time

The replenishment time of the calorimeter is not a fixed value. The core basis is the feedback from the water level monitoring system of the instrument, and the replenishment to the specified water level is usually the termination standard. In normal operation, manual replenishment takes about 3-5 minutes, and the automatic replenishment system can be shortened to 1-2 minutes. The core principle is to ensure that the water level of the inner cylinder is stable within the calibration range to avoid affecting the heat measurement accuracy due to abnormal water levels.

Key factors affecting hydration time

The replenishment time is affected by multiple factors, the first is the operating status of the replenishment system. If manual replenishment is used, the water flow speed needs to be controlled. Too fast can easily lead to excessive water level, and too slow will prolong the operation time; secondly, there are differences in instrument models. Different models of calorimeters have different inner cylinder volumes and water level sensor sensitivities, and the replenishment time will fluctuate for 1-2 minutes. In addition, unstable water source pressure will also lead to prolonged replenishment time, so check the stability of the water supply system in advance.

The operation points of accurately controlling the replenishment time

1. Check in advance: Before operation, confirm that the water level sensor and water replenishment pipeline are not blocked to avoid prolonging the water replenishment time due to equipment failure.

2. Standardized operation: When manually replenishing water, slowly open the valve, observe the water level indicator device at the same time, and close the valve in time when the water level is close to the calibration line; the automatic replenishment system needs to set the water level threshold in advance, and no manual intervention is required after starting. Wait for the system to automatically stop.

3. Verification confirmation: After the replenishment is completed, the water level needs to be checked again to ensure that it meets the calibration requirements of the instrument. If there is a deviation in the water level, it needs to be replenished and adjusted until the standard is reached.

The core significance of hydration time control

Precise control of the replenishment time of the calorimeter can not only improve the operation efficiency, but also directly affect the detection accuracy of the instrument. If the replenishment time is too long, the water level will fluctuate, which will make the heat measurement deviate and affect the accuracy of the experimental data; if the replenishment is not complete, it may also damage the instrument parts. Therefore, strictly following the replenishment specification and controlling the replenishment time are the key links to ensure the stable operation of the calorimeter and ensure the reliability of the detection data.
