Preparation is essential

Before operating the calorimeter, be sure to be fully prepared. Check whether the power connection is normal, turn on the power switch, and let the instrument preheat for 15-30 minutes. Wait for the instrument to run stably. At the same time, prepare samples to be tested, reference materials and cleaning tools to ensure that the experimental environment is clean and tidy.

Sample accurate weighing

Use a high-precision balance to accurately weigh the sample to be tested according to the experimental requirements. The sample volume needs to be strictly controlled, too much or too little will affect the measurement results. Carefully put the weighed sample into a special sample dish to avoid spilling the sample. If it is accidentally spilled, it needs to be cleaned and re-weighed in time.

Instrument parameter setting



Open the operating software of the calorimeter and enter the parameter setting interface. According to the characteristics of the sample and the purpose of the experiment, precisely set the key parameters such as temperature range and heating rate. For example, for flammable samples, the heating rate should be slowed down appropriately to ensure the safety of the experiment. After the parameter setting is completed, carefully check to ensure that it is correct.

The experiment was officially launched

Put the sample dish containing the sample into the sample pool of the calorimeter, close the lid of the instrument, and ensure that it is well sealed. Click the start button, and the instrument will run according to the set parameters. During the experiment, closely observe the running status and data changes of the instrument. If there is any abnormality, immediately suspend the experiment to troubleshoot the problem.

Data logging and analysis

After the experiment, the calorimeter will automatically generate a data report. Carefully record key data, such as reaction heat, temperature changes, etc. Use professional software to analyze and process the data, draw relevant curves, and obtain accurate experimental results. If there are doubts about the data, the experiment can be repeated for verification.

Instrument cleaning and maintenance

After the experiment is completed, clean the sample pool and instrument surface in time to remove residual samples and stains. Regularly calibrate and maintain the instrument to ensure stable performance and prolong service life.
