Preparation before measurement
Before using a thermometer to measure the amount of hot melt, it is necessary to be fully prepared. First, ensure that the appearance of the thermometer is intact, without damage, cracks, etc., check whether the connection of all parts of the instrument is stable, and whether the power supply is normal. At the same time, the tested sample is pretreated to ensure the uniformity and representativeness of the sample. If the sample is solid, it needs to be ground to a suitable particle size; if it is liquid, it needs to be stirred evenly to avoid affecting the measurement results due to the state of the sample.
Instrument calibration operation
Calibration is a key step to ensure the accuracy of measurement. Turn on the thermometer, preheat according to the instrument instructions, and use the standard material to calibrate the thermometer after the instrument is stable. Put the standard material with known hot melt volume into the measuring chamber, complete the calibration procedure according to the operation process, and record the calibration data. If the calibration results deviate greatly, check the reasons in time, such as checking the instrument parameter settings, ambient temperature, etc., until the calibration is qualified before formal measurement.
III. Sample measurement process
After accurately weighing the processed sample, put it into the measurement chamber of the thermometer, paying attention to the sample volume to meet the measurement range specified by the instrument. Close the measurement chamber, set the measurement parameters, such as heating rate, measurement time, etc., and start the measurement program. The thermometer will heat the sample according to the set program, monitor the heat change of the sample during the heating process in real time, until the sample is completely melted, and the instrument will automatically record the relevant data.
IV. Data processing and analysis

After the measurement is completed, the thermometer will generate a corresponding data report. According to the data provided by the instrument, combined with the measurement principle and calculation formula, the hot melt amount of the sample is calculated. During the data processing process, attention should be paid to excluding abnormal data and calculating the average value of multiple measurement results to improve the accuracy of the measurement results. At the same time, record the environmental conditions, instrument parameters and other information during the measurement process to facilitate subsequent results traceability and analysis.
V. Precautions
During the measurement process, the ambient temperature needs to be kept stable to avoid temperature fluctuations affecting the measurement results. Operators need to operate in strict accordance with the instrument operating procedures to avoid measurement errors due to operation errors. In addition, regular maintenance and maintenance of the heat meter to ensure the stable performance of the instrument is also an important part of ensuring the accuracy of the measurement. Mastering the above methods can accurately complete the measurement of the heat melt of the heat meter.
