The common constant temperature calorimeter is usually equipped with 1-2 pumps. Among them, one pump is responsible for circulating cooling water, precisely adjusting the water temperature of the outer cylinder, ensuring that the temperature of the experimental environment is constant, and providing a stable foundation for heat measurement. If the equipment needs to achieve both inner cylinder stirring and auxiliary temperature control, a second pump will be added to improve the heat transfer efficiency and ensure the accuracy of the measurement results through coordinated operation.

Adiabatic calorimeters have stricter temperature control requirements, and some models will be equipped with two or more pumps. In addition to the conventional circulating temperature control pump, an auxiliary pump will also be added to strengthen the mixing effect of the inner cylinder, so that the sample can fully react, and at the same time quickly balance the system temperature to avoid heat loss and ensure the authenticity of the measurement data.

The number of pumps is not set arbitrarily. The core basis is the temperature control requirements and functional design of the calorimeter. Whether it is the basic temperature control of a single pump or the coordinated operation of multiple pumps, it is to ensure the accuracy of heat measurement. Mastering the configuration logic of the calorimeter pump can help operators better debug equipment, improve experimental efficiency, and lay a solid foundation for various heat detection work.
