I. Preparation
Before adding or changing water to the calorimeter, be sure to turn off the power supply of the instrument to ensure safe operation. Prepare clean distilled or deionized water, and a clean wipe cloth to avoid impurities entering the instrument and affecting the measurement accuracy.
Second, add water steps
1. Find the water filling port: Usually the water filling port of the calorimeter is located on the side or top of the instrument. Look carefully at the appearance of the instrument and find the opening with the water filling logo.
2. Slow water filling: Slowly pour the prepared water into the water filling port and pay attention to the water level scale. Some calorimeters have a transparent water level observation window, just add water to the specified position of the scale line, do not add too much, so as not to overflow and damage the instrument.
III. Water change steps
1. Drain old water: Find the drain port of the calorimeter, usually located at the bottom of the instrument, connect the drain pipe, open the drain valve, and completely drain the old water.
2. Clean the inside: After emptying the old water, rinse the inside of the instrument with a small amount of water, rinse off the residual impurities, and then dry it with a wipe.
3. Readd water: Follow the above water addition steps to refill clean water to the specified scale.
IV. Precautions

During the process of adding water and changing water, the action should be gentle to avoid water splashing on the circuit part of the instrument. Regularly check the water level to ensure that the water volume meets the measurement requirements and ensure the stable operation of the calorimeter. Master these steps to easily complete the operation of adding water and changing water to the calorimeter.
