In the daily use of the calorimeter, the main board burnout is a more difficult failure, which not only affects the detection efficiency, but also increases the maintenance cost. Only by understanding the cause of the main board burnout can we do a good job of protection and investigation to ensure the stable operation of the instrument.

Abnormal power supply circuit is one of the core incentives. The calorimeter main board has extremely high requirements for power supply stability. If the external voltage fluctuation is too large, far exceeding the tolerance threshold of the main board circuit, the instantaneous high voltage shock will directly break down the core components, resulting in the main board short circuit burning. In addition, the aging of the power supply line and poor contact will also cause unstable power supply, and long-term accumulation will easily lead to main board failure.

The failure of the cooling system increases the risk of failure. When the calorimeter operates at high load for a long time, the main board will generate a lot of heat. If the cooling fan stops and the cooling channel is blocked by dust, the heat cannot be discharged in time, which will cause the local temperature of the main board to rise sharply. High temperature will not only accelerate the aging of components, but may also directly melt key components such as chips and capacitors, eventually causing the main board to burn out.

Component aging and quality defects cannot be ignored. Capacitors, resistors, chips and other components on the main board have a service life. After long-term use, the performance of the components will gradually decline, the insulation performance will decline, and the problems of leakage and short circuit will easily occur. At the same time, if the main board itself has quality defects, such as substandard welding of components and unreasonable circuit design, it may burn out due to local overload even under normal use environment.

Improper operation and environmental factors lay hidden dangers. Operators do not operate according to specifications, such as frequent switching and sudden power failure, which will cause current shock to the main board; misconnecting the polarity of the power supply will directly burn the main board circuit. In addition, humid, dusty and high temperature working environment will accelerate the corrosion of the main board, cause short circuit of the line, and greatly increase the probability of the main board burning out.

External interference and overload operation cause faults. If the calorimeter is close to strong electromagnetic interference sources, such as large motors and transformers, electromagnetic interference will interfere with the main board circuit, resulting in signal disorder and serious damage to components. In addition, if the calorimeter is overloaded for a long time and exceeds the carrying capacity of the main board, it will cause the components to be in a high load state for a long time, accelerate the loss, and eventually cause the failure to burn out.

To avoid the main board of the calorimeter burning out, it is necessary to start from standardized operation, regular maintenance, optimization of the environment and other aspects, and check the hidden dangers in time to ensure the detection accuracy and service life of the instrument.
