The coal calorimeter is the core instrument for accurately measuring the calorific value of coal. Mastering the standardized operation method is the key to ensuring the accuracy of the test results. The following starts with the whole operation process and takes you to quickly learn the use of the coal calorimeter.
First, the core preparations before the operation
Prepare for the adaptation of the instrument and the environment before operation. First check whether the host of the calorimeter, oxygen bomb, oxygen filling instrument and other components are in good condition, the power supply connection is stable, and the instrument is placed horizontally to avoid tilting affecting the accuracy. At the same time, ensure that the ambient temperature is stable at 15-30 ° C to avoid temperature fluctuations interfering with the detection results.
Key steps in sample preparation
Sample preparation directly affects the accuracy of detection. Representative coal samples need to be selected, crushed and ground to make fine powder with particle size ≤ 0.2mm, weighed 1.0-1 g (accurate to 0.0002g) and put into the crucible to ensure uniform weight of the sample and avoid deviation of results due to differences in sample size.

III. Core testing operation process
Oxygen bomb assembly and oxygenation: put the crucible with the sample into the crucible holder of the oxygen bomb, fix the two ends of the ignition wire on the electrode to ensure good contact, and then fill the oxygen bomb with 3.0-3 MPa of oxygen. Oxygenation time is not less than 15 seconds to ensure that the sample is fully burned.
2. Instrument parameter setting and loading: Turn on the power supply of the calorimeter, set the detection parameters on the operation interface, smoothly put the assembled oxygen bomb into the inner cylinder of the instrument, close the instrument cover, and confirm that the seal is in place.
3. Start the test: Click the "Start Test" button, and the instrument will automatically complete the processes of water injection, stirring, ignition, temperature collection, etc. During this period, the instrument cannot be opened at will. When the test is completed, the instrument will automatically print or display the heat generation result.
Fourth, the conclusion and precautions after the operation
After the test, it is necessary to take out the oxygen bomb in time to release the residual gas, clean the crucible, oxygen bomb and the inner cylinder of the instrument, and keep the parts clean. During operation, attention should be paid to: it is strictly forbidden to place flammable and explosive items around the instrument; strictly control the pressure when oxygenating to avoid danger caused by overpressure; regularly calibrate the instrument to ensure the accuracy of detection.
Mastering the above operation points will enable the efficient and standardized use of coal calorimeters, providing reliable data support for coal quality inspection.
